Default Anyone else disgruntled by this?

As an avid PvP gamer, i was looking forward to see what factions would bring for me and my fellow PvPers, but i found most of the skills to be dissapointing to say the least. an example, Orision of Healing is a staple of a healer monks build and yet there is no equivelant or obvious replacement for this skill. triple chop, a new elite axe skill is just cyclone axe with a fancy new picture.

Although i can put up with the bad skills, in the hope that they will actually become useful one day i do however dislike the fact that at least one of each set of armour for the core professions has been replaced by the ugly (in my opinion) collectors armour from the prophices campaign on the PvP only character creation. is it just me or did they completly nerf the good looking armour sets for some unknown reason?

Today was an anticipated day for the set up of alliances too, but i guess that never happened either, some serious error on that. but meh we can wait a few more days before being completly lagged by the 3 minion masters in the other team.

I do hope that someone from the GW development team sees this, i know quite a few players who are pissed off to say the least about the armour, new armour is what we were expecting from factions, but every set looks almost the same in the co-op play, and giving us collectors armour from prophicies kinda makes me feel like i regretted buying factions today, since i already bought prophicies why would i wanna see the same thing on a pvp character that i can get from any pre-sear co-op character?

The monk got a slew of good healing prayer spells, perhaps reviving that fairly bad line beyond Heal Party.

Why would they make Orisons obsolete in the first place? Faction skills are not suppose to be better verisons of Prophecies skills, they're suppose to give new niches and situations to be of use. Ethereal Light and Healing Whisper are two examples of better Orisons, but each with one obvious flaw (interruptablity and short range). These skills are not suppose to replace Orison, just provide different situational uses.

If you were a real PvPer, you wouldn't care about armour apperances enough to complain about them, you would complain about the severe imbalances between different armour sets (although with the last patch they are getting better).

People don't find all the best builds the first day, this criticism is a bit premature.

A bit premature like Harry Whittington was a bit shot in the face. <=/

Personally I think TC is a pretty sweet elite. If you use it on a ranger primary that is

Yes most skills are still to new to be called useless or whatnot. However there are a few that seem to be that way

Me/A means pwnge. Me/Rt is also nice for fast cast "mend body and soul" res thing. R/A flag runners have some solid potential. I think factions skills will slowly fit their way into the normal rotation, but later rather than sooner. It's only natural to go with what has worked in the past, IMO.

Triple Chop is actually better in a way than Cyclone Axe. Triple Chop has increased addition damage at the same rate as Executioner's Strike. Also, it attacks foes adjacent to target foe instead of all adjacent foes. In PvP, foes are more likely to be balled up/clumped than surrounding you. Triple Chop > Cyclone Axe.

Healing Burst = nice. That's the one with the lose 5 energy if more than one ally right? Anyways, it still owns XD. Too bad it's touch...but it's nice.

The problem with Triple Chop is that if you are running Triple Chop, you are not running Eviscerate. If you're not running Eviscerate, why are you even playing an axe warrior?

Eviscerate is so stupidly good as a spike skill that every other axe elite is completely overshadowed, even the relatively 'good' ones.

I agree that this kind of criticism is still a bit premature. Furthermore, on the topic of useless elites, this is nothing new to GW. Flourish anyone?

Please try to make threads that contribute to the PvP discussion rather than just post opinions about what you don't like about the game. If you want to suggest changes there are other sections of the forums to do so.
